Alberta Sandstone

Alberta Sandstone is locally quarried stone steeped in history and incorporated into many Alberta public buildings and estate houses.

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-size mineral and rock grains including quartz and feldspar. Its most common colours are tan, brown, gray and white.

Our thin cut sandstone veneers (1” to 3” thick) are from the river bottom and range from 30 to 70 million years old. Sandstone is highly resistant to weathering with strong structural capability.
